{Murano Glass Gifts Co.}

When you are in the market for a unique gift idea look no further than Murano.  Murano Glass Gifts Co carries the finest in imported Venetian glass art. I enjoyed looking over the Murano Glass Jewelry collection. It features Murano glass pendants, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and more.  I loved the pendants. The bold beautiful colors and the uniqueness are very impressive making them a wonderful gift idea for that special person.

And there is the amazing selection of everything else Murano offers. From animals and birds, to vases and center pieces. Each individual piece is hand crafted or blown by master artisans working from personal studios on the island of Murano in Venice, Italy. I love that each piece is so different from the next. I had no idea that there are so many things that can be made with glass. I get really excited when i am also able to learn more about the company, methods and origin of the material . You can read more about Venetian Glass Making at Murano.

    A long time ago I went to a talk on beads while we were in Grand Tetons National Park, there was a Native American Ranger there who talked of the beads being used as money. The red ones were the most valued because they had gold in them. AND they were at that time, Italy was the ONLY manufacturer of beads. What's fascinating is that these beads were used as currency while the US was blooming. I still remember it was one of the most surprisingly fascinating talks given by rangers.

    Great jewelry pieces! Venetian beads were used throught Asian and Northern Africa as currency around the time of Marco Polo, they couldnt find enough artisans to meet the demand at the time
